Just started a Animal Forest Game what should I do?

Using my raspberry pi I got a English translation for animal forest on the n64. Are there any things that are good to know? Also, in all of my towns they have a name with teh mine- prefix (Minecraft) what should I name this town I’ve already used Mineland and Mineton.

I remember looking on Japanese sites to find the differences between it and the international release. I guess enjoy the slightly changed events and different outfits for some of the characters! haha
