What ten games would you choose?

Suppose that you have a portable handheld (like a 3DS) or a miniature console (like the NES Classic) that had ten games of your choice. If you could have one, what ten games would you want on it? Here are the caveats:

1. All ten games have to come from the same platform. If a game was on two or more different consoles (like Ocarina of Time), then you should only consider the version on the platform of your choice. Be sure to specify what handheld or console it’s based on.
2. They all have to be made or published by Nintendo, Sega, Namco, or Rare.
3. If it’s a Pokémon game, only one version can be included.
4. There is no internet, but local wireless gameplay is optional.
5. You may assume that the game is of the original version or improved version, but do not specify that. Titles only.
   • If it’s an Animal Crossing game, assume that traveling requirements and wi-fi features have been removed.
6. This is for games only. No hardware or console design discussions.

this is a fun idea. i will pick my trusty old 3DS as that is the portable console i have the most mileage on. i have since moved on to playing mostly pc games so i couldn't pick as many games that i would enjoy on the nintendo switch. in no particular order:

1. pokemon alpha sapphire - still my favorite generation to this day and steven is such a dreamboat haha
2. fire emblem awakening - my favorite fire emblem game of all time
3. fire emblem fates - i also enjoyed this one a lot as well just not as much as awakening c':
4. animal crossing new leaf - of course
5. tales of the abyss - i haven't played many tales of games to compare so i'm not sure how this particular entry would rank amongst the others but i do enjoy abyss. it's a great classic jrpg
6. nintendogs - a fun shut off ur brain choice haha
7. super smash bros. - another fun casual game to play
8-9. bravely default/end layer - another great jrpg i've enjoyed both the original and the sequel
10. animal crossing happy home designer

I’m sorry, but they all have to come from the same console. You can’t have both DS and 3DS games.

No. If you choose one console, you can only choose the games made for the console. But you can choose remakes that have been made for the console.

It might have to do with nostalgia. I just chose it because I thought it would be the most fun to do, but I might also do it with another console.
