I think in a way we've been spoiled, as generously giving away without a thing in return is a rather common happening here. However, there's going to be folks who don't meet that standard, while it doesn't make them much of a saint, it doesn't necessarily make them a bad person either.

Regarding Marina, well what you do with her is up to you. I haven't seen any proof of a promise being made (Then again, you're not denying it) But you shouldn't be making promises you can't keep.

At any rate, keep your heads cooled, peeps and scooch back on-topic, This isn't the place to be discussing morality.
