Oops my bad. I didn’t see the smash tag (I guess lack of proper sleep is catching up to me).

I use a wireless pro switch controller. I agree, it is underrated. I have used wired gamecube controller in the past but I've grown more comfortable with the pro switch controller, probably using it to play other games like splatoon.

I use the pro controller because I gave up on my joycons (drift) and I don't own the adapter for the GameCube controller nor do I think it's necessary.
I only used joycons when the game first came out, though.
